Joining a waitlist or waiting on approval
A sold-out event may offer a waitlist. Others hold your registration until the organizer approves it. Here’s what each means.
Joining a waitlist
When every ticket for a session is sold out, some events show Join waitlist instead. Enter your email and you’re added to the list right away.
When a spot opens up
We email you that a spot opened up, with a link to get your tickets. Spots are first come, first served — there’s no reserved window, so it’s worth going back as soon as you get the email.
Waiting on organizer approval
Some events hold every registration for the organizer to review before it’s confirmed. If you register for one, your order shows Awaiting approval and your QR code stays hidden until the organizer approves it. We email you the moment that happens.
Both at once
An event can have a waitlist and require approval at the same time. If an approved registration is later cancelled or a pending one times out, that spot goes to the next person on the waitlist.
